Dry Economy and its relationship to our Vitality.
As we enter the elections in the United States and sense the significant divide and separation that will undoubtedly impact the economy of the country and its neighbouring friends, Canada, a question arises of whether we will have to battle for available resources to keep afloat.
Will there be enough jobs to employ all people who require income? As a rule, economies often reach maximum employment levels when proliferating.
As mortgage, rental, food, and fuel rates rise, many Canadians and Americans must manage multiple income streams to stay afloat.
As a result, we are placed in a fight-or-flight state, where our adrenal glands constantly push out high levels of the stress hormone cortisol and neurotransmitters adrenaline and nor-adrenaline to keep us motivated, engaged, and actively awake to keep that fire burning.
However, we are not machines; we are humans who require several natural staples to keep our bodies and minds working efficiently, such as rest and sleep, whole natural foods, water, creativity, fun and play, all known as nourishment.
Unfortunately, several people risk becoming burned out and depleted from waking up until they sleep, as they are forced to be in overdrive seven days a week.
This High-Stress imbalance makes us prone and sensitive to physical, emotional, psychological, infectious and environmental stress factors affecting the Adrenals and potentially causing full-on Adrenal Fatigue.
What is Adrenal Fatigue?
Drive until we Crash and Burn!
Adrenal Fatigue occurs when the adrenal glands in the endocrine system become so diminished that a person may have difficulty getting out of bed for more than a few hours daily. Changes can begin to occur in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism. Your sex drive can deplete, and your Heart, electrolyte balance, and cardiovascular system also take a toll.
Over time, it can alter your biochemical and cellular levels and change your body shape as it tries to compensate for under-functioning adrenal glands.
Several factors can affect the Adrenals when focusing on performing in a high-stress functioning society.
Factors Affecting the Adrenals
Over Exertion
Lack of Sleep
Lack of Relaxation
Lack of Good Food
Lack of or Excessive Exercise
Wound Healing
Death of a Loved one
Financial pressures
Fear
Coffee and caffeine
Marital Stress
Sugar & White Flour Products
Poor eating habits
Unwanted Unemployment
Smoking
Infection (Acute & Chronic)
Negative attitudes & beliefs
Prescription and non-prescription drugs.
All of these stress factors add to a particular stress load, whether you notice them or not until your Adrenal glands are exhausted and your body can no longer make the appropriate changes to these stresses, and adrenal fatigue occurs.
